Stepto.com is now on a quad core 8 gig RAM server and wow the fastiness is awesome. However since I have moved over to a new blogging platform it will take some importing.
I’m working on importing the past 9 years of content. Please be patient. In the mean time, enjoy the new enabled comments that use Disqus or Twitter or Facebook.

Check out the jetpack plugin for WordPress at jetpack.me
You’ll be glad you went with WordPress, as it really is the best out there. Are you running it on a windows or Linux host?
Windows Server 2008 r2 X64 SP1.
I have used WP on Windows/IIS before, and it was fine with the exception of limiting specific plugins that were designed for Apache. I’d recommend not doing URL redirection with IIS’s rewrite module since it’s a pain to manage, but use this WP redirection plugin from your old URLs. http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection/
I had posted about migrating from GraffitiCMS to WordPress awhile back and listed some useful plugins there.

(obviously I have since stopped using IIS Rewrite since then)
Black on black comments are interesting.
Here’s to another nine years.
Hello World.
And you of course, Stepto. :D
Keep up the great work.

Great blog, stepto,
Well, Hello
Testing having more restrictive comments to cut down on spam
Make sure you have Akismet operational to cut down on spam content. Also, Automattic has their own federated comment system called Intense Debate which supports plugins. I used Disqus before, but had issue with non javascript clients so I switched to ID.
I also have used other plugins which cut down on spam dramatically.
I really like ID as well, I’m thinking of running Disqus for a while and seeing if there are any problems.
If you switch to ID, try this plugin to curb spam from native comments. http://www.growmap.com/growmap-anti-spambot-plugin/
I found Bad Behaviour to work well against spam bots on my site, in case you hadn’t heard of it before

is faster that ill tell ya
It seems like you still need to carry things over?
“Hello World!” I like the layout design of the new site.
Woot for WP and Disqus. What about pretty URLs?
WP + Disqus. Best combination ever.
Cool… like the new site. Mobile site is pretty slick too. Thanks Stepto!
